Students, teachers, and parents explored different cultures, such as Egyptian, Indian, Greek, Polish and Latin, at this year’s Ethnic Fair.

Sponsored by International Club, people were able to learn about these different cultures through bulletin boards displayed in the cafeteria.  Students, teachers, and parents were encouraged to try new food from all different countries.

A popular activity of the night was the Henna tattoos. A dye is prepared from the Henna plant, which creates the substance from the tattoo. Central students volunteered to design the Henna on people’s hands.  The designs are usually flowers and are very traditional.

Later in the evening, traditional costumes, worn by students, could be seen as they prepared for their performances. Students performed various dances and traditions from all over the world. There were performances such as an accordion player, Kung Fu, tap dance, as well as Latin, Polish, Greek, and Indian dance.

The Ethnic Fair gave students, teachers, and parents an inside look on other cultures and allowed them to share their own.
