NHS will sell freshly bakes good on Oct. 31. to benefit the Amazing Grace Foundation.

On Monday Oct. 31, NHS (National Honors Society) will sell baked goods to raise money for The Amazing Grace Organization.

“On Halloween morning, we will be sponsoring an event where attending students can pay a small fee to enjoy baked goods by NHS members and play additional games for prizes,” said James Mathew, senior.

The Amazing Grace Organization is is a non-profit corporation and operates exclusively for charitable purposes. The Organization provides those battling cancer with care packages to comfort patients and give them something meaningful during times of hardship. These care packages are meant to bring moments of hope and strength to the patients.

“[The bake sale] adds more to the fun holiday. It’s now not just a holiday, but a day of giving back and helping out a wonderful organization,” said Ms. Katherine Janicek, NHS sponsor.

Students can participate by heading to the gym or cafeteria before school. If there are leftover goods, members of NHS will sell them throughout the school day, as long as their teachers permit it.

“I think the bake sale event will be highly successful and I hope that we will be able to earn a lot for Amazing Grace,” Brandon Counts said.

After finding the amount of money, NHS promised to double the amount of money fundraised. Head to the hallway in front of the cafeteria to grab a desert and donate to the Amazing Grace Foundation.
